Basic Plus CPR, AED &First Aid Course 2018

From 13th to 15th November, staff members of SDS and SS went for training in Basic Plus CPR, AED & First Aid course. Out of a total of 21 trainees, 8 from ASDS attended the course for the first time whilst another 8 sat for refresher course to renew their first aid practitioner license.

During the course, trainees were taught the basic skills of identifying and analysing medical emergency and the proper procedure to handle it which includes performing CPR with the aid of AED device and recovery position until proper medical care arrives. The trainees were also put through a simulation of a disaster scene with multiple wounded victims to assess their teamwork and resource management skills.

ASDS aims to develop its employees with valuable basic knowledge and skills in first aid to enable them to confidently look after each other while at work as well as outside work areas in the event of emergencies.
