First Fire Drill of 2019

On 19th July 2019, ASDS’s Fire Wardens organized a Fire Drill exercise for the first time in 2019. The bi-annual exercise is meant to test the response time and staff preparation for evacuation in case of emergency. During the drill, the staff showed good alertness and response in timely evacuation in line with standard evacuation time.

ASDS will perform regular drills to maintain staff alertness and emergency response preparations in compliance with its HSE requirements.

AEGIS Participated a Parade on His Majesty 73rd Birthday

The Sultan’s birthday is a national event held annually in Brunei, which usually lasts the whole month. The celebration began on Monday with a public holiday and a ceremonial parade. AEGIS staff took the opportunity to join the festivities at the HQ office. Personnel from all departments participated including the cash supervisor, cash crew and security guards. 

Client HSE visit to ASDS

On 8th July 2019, a team of 11 representatives from a client visited ASDS premise in Mentiri as part of their regular HSE compliance visit to their service provider. ASDS prioritises health and safety of its staff and the environment above all else and therefore support initiatives from clients to perform regular inspection on site.

Cash Crew

Responsible for the safe handling, collection, replenishment, and delivery of cash and valuables.

Operate company vehicles according to assigned trips and OCC instructions, safeguard assigned assets, maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct regular vehicle checks, and comply with all security procedures.

Requirements:

Minimum ‘O’ level in mathematics/numerical subject with a credit of Malay and English.

Valid Class 3 driving licence.

Defensive driving knowledge and safe driving skills.

Familiar with local roads and routes.

Basic knowledge of vehicle safety checks.

Able to follow assigned routes and instructions.

Good understanding of safety and security requirements.

Vault Operator

Location: Bandar Seri Begawan

Responsible for all aspects of security and operations of the vaults and oversee the daily vault operation including security and vault check in/out.

To ensure day to day operations fully compliance with the relevant policy and operating procedures whilst performing duty.

Requirements:

Bruneian/Permenant Residence.

18 years old & above.

Minimum Pernilaian Menengah Bawah (PMB).

Own transport and valid driving license.

Medically fit.

No criminal and/Syariah Law offence.

Experience in security guards would be an advantage.

Ex-Royal Brunei Armed forces or Royal Brunei Police Force is an advantage

Able to work on shift hours 8-12 hours. Able to work overtime.

Security Guard

Responsible in guarding client’s premise and properties and maintaining security.

Requirements:

Bruneian/Permenant Residence.

Manned Secure Solutions Trainer (MSS)

Responsible for monitoring all aspects of the Aegis Induction Training Program including conducting theory, practical and on-the-job training to ensure MSS operational staff are aware and fully compliant with the relevant policies and procedures.

Developing quality vocational training and ensuring training is up-to-date with the needs of the company and clients

Requirements:

Minimum qualification of HND in Business Management, Teaching or any relevant field

Have 3 years experience in the security industry, preferably in Supervisory, training or operational roles.

Experience conducting classroom practical, and on the job training.

Experience in conducting investigations, gathering facts and preparing incident reports.

Good command of spoken and written in English and Malay.

Have driving license and no transport issues.

Having experience as an ex-military, police or warden is an advantage.

Strong written and verbal communication skills
