Fire Marshal Training

November 27th, 25 participants graduated the Fire Marshal training. The 3 days training provided by Fire Department Brunei at Jalan Airport Lama was lead by the coordinator of fire marshal, Puan Rozita Binti Mohd Kamis.
The training aims to provide with the knowledge to all fire marshals. It includes action on discovering a fire, common causes of fire, fire drill and evacuation, fire safety precautions, the chemistry of fire, the role of fire marshal, how to use fire extinguishers and practical lifting and carry injured people. AEGIS appointed Chief Fire Marshal to Hafizzah Matasan and her deputy to Maimunah Mahmud. 

Cybersecurity & Digital Economy Talk

On 14th Nov, 2017, staff from AEGIS SDS attended a US Embassy Speaker Talk on Cybersecurity and the Digital Economy at the DARe Auditorium, Berakas conducted by Kevin T. McDonald of vCISO. In this session, the speaker shared his insight on digital economy, emerging technologies, entrepreneurship and their associated risks in the view of cybersecurity. Additionally, key components of being digitally secure were discussed.

 

Alaris Capture Pro Training

In November 2017, staff of AEGIS SDS attended a 3-day Alaris Capture Pro training session. The training was conducted by an experienced trainer from Alaris Singapore. The training session aims to hone and sharpen the employees’ skills and familiarity with the scanning software and also to update their knowledge on the latest scanning technology offered by Alaris.

Supervisory Trainee Programme 2

In October 2017, the second batch of Supervisory Trainee was introduced. The three candidates will undergo a 12-month on-the-job training in all the different operations within the company. This programme aims to develop the necessary supervisory skills to enable future leadership and succession planning.

AEGIS SDS Paintball Shootout

On 28th October 2017, AEGIS SDS organised a paintball tournament event at Paintball Arena Jerudong. The event was an initiative from the company to expose the staff to the extreme sport of paintball and to foster the spirit of competition, sportsmanship and leadership. The participants were grouped into 4 teams where they competed with one another with the winning teams receiving prizes from the management.
