Welcoming 1st Muharram 1448H: The Beginning of the Islamic New Year

The arrival of 1st Muharram marks the beginning of a new year in the Islamic calendar and serves as an important occasion for reflection, gratitude, and renewal. As one of the four sacred months in Islam, Muharram holds great significance for Muslims around the world.

The Islamic New Year commemorates the Hijrah, the historic migration of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companions from Makkah to Madinah. This pivotal event not only marked the beginning of the Islamic calendar but also symbolised perseverance, faith, and the pursuit of a better future.

As we enter the new Islamic year, it is an opportunity to reflect on our achievements and challenges, strengthen our faith, and set positive intentions for the months ahead. It is a time to embrace the values of patience, compassion, integrity, and continuous self-improvement in both our personal and professional lives.

Saving Lives Together!

In conjunction with World Blood Donor Day, AEGIS Secure Solutions and Sphere Secure Services, in collaboration with Laksamana College of Business (@lcb_brunei) and JPMC Blood Bank, successfully organised a Blood Donation Drive on 12 June 2026 at The Roof, LCB New Annexe Building.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors and supporters, a total of 33 pints of blood were collected to help strengthen Brunei’s blood supply and support patients in need.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who contributed to this meaningful cause, as well as our valued partners, JPMC Blood Bank and LCB, for their support in making this initiative a success.

At AEGIS and Sphere, we believe that securing Brunei goes beyond providing security services—it also means supporting the wellbeing of our communities and contributing to causes that make a lasting difference.
