At Aegis, over the past 5 years, we have implemented a comprehensive digitalization of our Cash Management to streamline operations, enhance trustworthiness, and automate workflows. At the heart of the Cash Management transition and Cash-in-Transit (CIT)’s digitalization journey is our software, launched in 2021. Our specialized cash management software moved manual processes 100% online. This had a direct impact on our business customers (such as banks, retailers, and commercial businesses). The digitalization of our cash center and transit operations delivers distinct operational and financial benefits to our clients:

How Our Staff Adapted
Each of these changes meant a real shift in day-to-day work for our teams. Field crews moved from paper forms to PDAs and e-receipt, while Operations Control Centre staff transitioned from manual paper-driven data entry to working within the Stander Platform. Our staff adjusted to these new tools and processes with minimal disruption to service. Training was rolled out alongside each system update, and teams worked together to troubleshoot issues as they came up. This reflects well on our people: they’ve shown and adapted to new ways of working while keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently for our clients.
What’s Next
We are currently looking at implementing an AI Bot for automated job creation within Stander, which will increase accuracy and reduce turnaround time by removing manual data entry for our Operations Control Centre.
Alongside this, we are also offering a forecasting and replenishment module, which will help clients optimize their cash needs by providing data-driven insights into liquidity requirements.
This transition enables our team to reallocate their expertise toward higher-value activities like proactive trend identification and real-time asset guardianship. Additionally, it allows for greater operational scalability, enabling us to handle increased transaction volumes, and ensures enhanced data consistency, creating more uniform and reliable auditable digital trails.
