All collected material is processed in accordance with industry standard secure shredding workflow and destroyed to an unrecoverable state. After materials are thoroughly shredded, the paper is mixed and recycled. For all materials processed in accordance with our secure shredding workflow, we provide a Certificate of Destruction.
Secure Document Destruction
At AEGIS SDS, our industrial shredders are capable of shredding paper from Security Levels 1 to 6 which follow the DIN 32757 standard for security levels of shredded paper waste.
– Level 1 and Level 2 are acceptable for small office and home office uses are are designed simply to make documents illegible.
– Level 3 and 4 are designed to destroy paper to confetti size and is used for the destruction of confidential business documents and typically meets compliance for the majority of organisations.
– Level 5 and 6 are designed for the total destruction of top secret documents and is typically applied to government or military documents.
These different security levels are specifically designed as a standard to guide customers to make an informed choice on making sure they are destroying their non classified and classified paper, and making sure it doesn’t get into the wrong hands.
