Rock Climbing Team Building Activity

On 2nd December 2017, selected members of AEGIS SDS staff participated in a rock climbing team building activity. This activity is part of the ongoing employee development programme to build confidence and teamwork among the staff. The highlights of the activity included an introduction to rock climbing, belaying certification, speed climbing race and climbing challenges. The activity concluded with prize presentation for the champions of the speed climbing race in the male and female categories.

Celebrating HM Golden Jubilee

On the 5th October 2017, ten volunteers from AEGIS SDS  participated in His Majesty the Sultan’s Golden Jubilee Celebration under Infocom Federation Brunei (IFB) to celebrate the 50th year as the sovereign of Brunei Darussalam. The celebration consisted of The Royal Parade, Audience Ceremony and Royal Procession around Bandar Seri Begawan.

The volunteers were stationed along Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha and waved their flags with patriotic spirit as His Majesty’s carriage passed during the procession. Specially made souvenirs were gifted to the volunteers as tokens of gratitude for their participation.

Certification in Cargo Security Management and Operations

On 22th November 2017, two representatives from AEGIS SDS attended a 3-day certification course on Cargo Security Management and Operations as part of the Mid Career Development Program. The certification course aims to create effective cargo management and operations in relation to the deterrence to security threats. This course has enabled the AEGIS SDS staff to gain the necessary knowledge to safeguard the safety and security of cargo transported by any means.

Brunei Paintball Tournament Series 4 2017

AEGIS Rangers participated in the Brunei Paintball Tournament Series 4 and after challenging battle games against 5 other teams, managed to seize the 3rd Runner Up position. Each Ranger was awarded a medal for their valiant efforts and relentless fighting spirit to take on the challenge against more established teams.

This event is organised quarterly by Paintball Arena @ Jerudong (PAJ) and supported by the Department of Youth and Sports and Brunei Darussalam National Paintball Association (PANTAS) with the aim to spread the popularity of the sport within the nation. Among the participants of the tournament include amateur teams and established professional teams who represent Brunei in the international arena.
