AEGIS Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd (AEGIS) organized its first corporate social responsibility (CSR) event for 2018 at its headquarter in Tumasek on 16th January 2018 with more than 30 units of pints of blood collected.
Carrying the theme “Be a Hero, Donate Blood to Save a Life”, AEGIS in collaboration with Jerudong Park Medical Centre invited its staff and security personnel from AEGIS to spare some time in their busy schedule to donate blood. AEGIS highlighted how a simple contribution of donating one’s blood can save lives and also the advantages it offers to the donor themselves.
Having it at AEGIS headquarters during working hours gave AEGIS employees the chance and convenience to donate, especially those who have thought of donating blood but never had the chance to do so due to working hour constraints. The result is evident as there were 23 new donors.
Following the success of this blood donation drive, AEGIS plan to conduct similar blood donation drives both at its headquarter and other offices as part of the companies’ CSR initiative in giving back to the community.
AEGIS takes the corporate social responsibilities concept seriously and strongly believe in giving back to the community in Brunei. We are committed to taking positive steps towards CSR for our employees and the wider community through socially responsible actions. This includes a greater concern for employee health and safety, care for the environment and community involvement. There are a few other projects in the pipeline for 2018 and we look forward to demonstrating our commitment.
