Jump Start Your Supervisory Skills Course 2018

On 24th to 25th October, 10 AEGIS SDS and AEGIS SS supervisors and supervisor trainees attended a 2-day course which was aimed to develop their leadership qualities and equip them with knowledge to prepare them for current and future leadership roles in the company.

On top of the classroom style of delivery, the attendees were also required to partake in various activities and active discussions amongst each other and the trainer.  Among the activities included a team presentation on roles and responsibilities of a leader, coaching exercises and leadership and teamwork activity.

This course is part of AEGIS SDS’s ongoing effort to prepare and develop staff for future and succession planning.

Achieved CompTIA Certification

On 29th September 2018, a staff from I.T Department has completed and attained certification in CompTIA Security+ course.

This is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to equip the employees with necessary skills and knowledge to meet the challenges and demands of today’s cybersecurity industry.

Attending AEGIS SS 20th Anniversary Celebration

On 1st September 2018, AEGIS SDS was invited to AEGIS SS’s 20th Anniversary celebration at Tarindak D’Seni, Kota Batu.

AEGIS Celebrates 20 Years Anniversary

AEGIS Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd has reached a milestone this year, celebrating 20 years of business. The celebration to commemorate this occasion is being held on 1st September from 7pm to 1030pm at Tarindak D’Seni. AEGIS has invited customers, supporters and business partners who have been part of our success. Our Guest of Honour is Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister of Finance II.

The programme for the night includes the launching of AEGIS’s first ever corporate video, speeches by Director Ahmad Isa and Country Manager Jorge Vega, cake cutting, Long Service Awards for employees, and skit shows performed by AEGIS staff demonstrating the cash and guarding services.

AEGIS commenced trading in 1998 as Securicor Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between AEGIS Sdn Bhd and Jardine Securico and was one of the first security companies to be licensed in Brunei. AEGIS’s founding directors are Ahmad Isa, Musa Adinin, Sulaiman Ahai and Ahmad Morshidi. Since then the company has gone through several name changes – G4S Security Services in 2006, and G4S Secure Solutions in 2010. In 2016 G4S sold its shares to the local shareholder and we became AEGIS Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd – a 100% locally owned company.

AEGIS Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd is the only company in Brunei offering an end-to-end cash service involving the secure collection and distribution of banknotes and coins (Cash in Transit), cash processing and vaulting, and full ATM management services utilizing armoured vehicles and state-of-the-art protection devices. We are also the only private security company providing K9 services. Other services include Manned Security Services (security guards), and Electronic Security Services (Alarm monitoring, CCTV installation and maintenance, access control devices). A new venture for AEGIS is the maintenance of Astrophysics X-Ray machines and we have on staff an Astrophysics certified advanced technician. We also have a close working relationship with Jino Motors Korea for the provision of anti-riot equipment such as water vehicles for law enforcement.
