On 14th & 15th December 2018, AEGIS SDS conducted another Information Security Awareness Briefing as part of the effort to educate end users on the dangers Information Security related attack (from both physical and cybersecurity aspects) and the common safe practices to safeguard against such threats.
This batch covered new recruits consisting of 22 staff who were not covered in the previous batch earlier in May this year.
The company believes in the importance of staff awareness in the prevention of the ever growing global cybersecurity threats.
AEGIS Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd has held its Year End Celebration for its colleagues recently at Mangrove Paradise Resort Restaurant, in which AEGIS’s colleagues gathered for an eventful evening that first started with a speech delivered by Mr. Jorge Vega, Country Manager, and was followed by handing certificates as a token of appreciation, along with best dress show with a theme of International Night and Lucky draw that made the event a great success.
On 4th December 2018, AEGIS SDS acquired a Maxus V80 van supplied by GHK MOTORS. The light commercial van equipped with 2.5 litres turbo diesel engine, a cargo space of 11.5 cubic meters and head height of 170 centimeters is a positive expansion on ASDS’ logistics capability allowing delivery of larger, longer and taller loads, better transport efficiency and improves quality of service in general.
On 21st to 22nd November 2018, two AEGIS SDS staff attended the Certified Secure Computer User Course (CSCU) , a EC Council Certified course.
The purpose of this course is to provide necessary knowledge, skills and exposure to computer users in order to reinforce the weakest link in Information Security – the end users. The 2 days course expose trainees to various online threats and how to handle or mitigate security exposure. The course concluded with an online assessment which awarded trainees who passed with a certificate.
