From the 10th to 12th September, ASDS sent a group of 7 new staff on basic First Aid CPR course. Throughout the course duration, candidates were taught to assess and respond to various situation where first aid is needed. The candidates were also taught various skills such as the proper CPR techniques, the use of AED, how to put a patient in recovery position until medical care arrives and other precautionary practices like proper way to remove gloves after use.
All candidates passed the assessment and become certified first aid CPR practitioners. Another batch of 6 went for a refresher course to renew their first aid practitioner license.
ASDS aims to develop its employees with valuable basic knowledge and skills in first aid to enable them to confidently look after each other while at work as well as outside work areas in the event of emergencies.

From 3rd to 5th September, selected staff from the Sales Department attended a 3-day course on Sales Presentation to develop and sharpen their presentation skills. During the course, the candidates went through several presentations and assessments that help them to identify common negative habits and the correct approach to improving their skills and confidence.
ASDS believes in good presentation, clear communication and adequate preparation as the key to successful marketing.

A fire safety talk on Live Safer 995 and Building Evacuation was carried out on 14th August 2019 at Sphere Secure Services (S3) building.
The talk was coordinated by the Public Relation Unit of Operation ‘F’ Branch of the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD).
A total of 23 participants from AEGIS attended the talk which among others discussed on general safety Life Saver 995, building evacuation and demonstration on the proposer way of using a fire extinguisher.







Last Friday, 13th August 2019, Aegis staff totaling 30, participated in an intramural bowling competition. There were 6 different teams and each group had 5 participants which were randomly selected from the various departments: Human Resources Unit, Internal Security Unit, Business Development Unit, Cash Unit, Guarding Unit, Admin Unit, IT Unit. Our Director, Mr Ahmad Bin Isa and CEO, Mr Jorge Vega joined in the fun.
The 9-8-9 pins with 30 frames games started with group photos and demonstrations of each group’s cheer chant. The competition concluded with a medal ceremony with Director, Mr Ahmad Bin Isa presenting. Purple team Sakti won the competition. 1st Runner Up was the Snow White team which included Mr Ahmad bin Isa and the 2nd Runner up was Blue team E-Bola.
Prizes were also awarded to best player, Nazri from the Cash Unit who racked up an impressive overall score of 518 and worst player with score of 173, Bahriah from Business Development Unit.
