A total of seventeen staff and officers from Aegis recently received their Fire Marshal Training Certifications. The three-day course was conducted by a Station Officer from the Fire and Rescue Department at Balai Bomba & Penyelamat Berakas, Lapangan Terbang Lama from August 22nd till 24th.
Participants were briefed on the causes of fire, proper use of firefighting equipment, procedures on evacuating a building and prevention of fire.
They were also briefed on procedural steps such as how to take action during a fire as well as systematic evacuation, the proper procedure in using a fire extinguisher and fire blanket and how to save themselves when trapped in a building during a fire.
The skill sets learnt are not only applicable in the working environment, but are also beneficial to the public in the case of any fire related emergencies.
It is important to do good at every opportunity that you get. It is the acts of good that can help the world survive. Even with different colors, race, religions, and cultures, we are all just one humanity. This day is to celebrate that. Wish you a very Happy World Humanitarian Day.
