Event funds diverted towards CSR Initiative for Employees
It is tradition for Aegis Secure Solutions Sdn Bhd (Aegis SS) and Sphere Secure Services Sdn Bhd (S3) to undertake a charity collection at the end of the year and donate the proceeds towards back-to-school items and foodstuffs for employees. This year, realizing that COVID-19 has had a great impact on the community, it was decided to divert all of the funds budgeted for 2021 social events, such as Family Day and Annual Dinner, into our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
An internal survey was conducted to see how our employees are faring during the pandemic and to ask how we can best help them. The majority of employees required assistance with basic food items, while the next biggest issue was having the technology and data to cope with online learning for their children.
Towards this end, 100 employees will receive staple foodstuffs including 20kg of rice, 3.4L of cooking oil, trays of IDEAL eggs, canned items etc. Additionally, 8 employees will receive tablets with data lines and credit. The distribution will be conducted from 8th to 12th November 2021 and will reach families all across Brunei from KB to Temburong.
Together, Aegis SS and S3 want to provide support at a time when our employees need it the most. We are truly grateful to our employees who are frontliners and have continued to work throughout the pandemic. Our contributions reflect our commitment to our values and people.
